I donât know. I canât help but dislike this.
See, I have this neighbor who buys a new Mercedes like, every six months or something. And he has been doing this for like⌠the last ten years. And just a couple of days ago, I was walking around his new model thinking it looked good until I spotted, guess what, a bitcoin sticker right on the rear glass.
It made me chuckle because I know he was not a bitcoinhead or enthusiast not too long ago, but, obviously, he gave in to the hype eventually and now heâs very much a part of the hype machine.
The thing is, there are too many not poor yet not billionaire people who bought a lot at prices too high, and now theyâre sorta imprisoned. And so they market this wonderful technology and berate anyone who labels it a scam or a pyramid scheme as ignorant, meanwhile actually trying to get out.
5 cents for every ugly sticker in the city reeks of desperation rather than a convincing argument of âthis thing is aliveâ.
The fun part is, every little worm placing these stickers everywhere works their ass off for peanuts to make the rich go richer with every pump this desperate attempt at organic marketing might bring.
How is this any, I mean any different from how the current economy works? I still keep my modest share of BTC, but deeper in my heart, I abandoned the btc hype culture, which is greedy to the bone and full of bs, a long time ago. Not participating, uh-uh.

I wouldnât mind a little bit of hype around Maidsafe 
. And a few tweets arenât going to cause mass hysteria. Theyâll maybe reach a few more people, who might end up here on the forum and become interested. Maidsafe is still far away from being hyped. Lets âworryâ about that once Botty McBotface is no longer the only one tweeting about MAID.
