What's with all the propaganda on Maidsafe twitter feed?

Getting a steady stream of Russia-phobia propaganda coming through on the Maidsafe twitter feed these days dressed up as hacking “news”.

Any quick search for “Russian hacking evidence” will quickly demonstrate it for what it is - Pro-war drum beating propaganda, no evidence required.

Really guys, I expected more quality. It is one thing to highlight security issues (or lack thereof), but this…

Hmm. I see three. You’re saying Russia doesn’t hack things?

Sure they hack and would happy to see well researched news outing such hacks posted when it is backed by evidence and the security researcher community. The link I posted previously overviews in three parts with references to security researchers all that is (very) wrong with this latest Russia hysteria and McCarthyism propaganda. Security news outlets have covered the issues Maidsafe twitter was trying to address but in a much more professional manner, without the xenophobia. For example [1] [2]. Professional security researchers in general are repeatedly asking to see the evidence so it can be independently verified.

Re-tweeting some of the worst examples of propaganda reflects poorly on Maidsafe.

Looks like it is up to four now. Compare the Maidsafe twitter linked article to this one [3], shorter, more informative and without all the hysteria.

Edit: New story ripe for further sensationalist unprofessional security news

More badly sourced propaganda masquerading as security news on the Maidsafe twitter feed. For example even the head of the French government’s cyber security agency Guillaume Poupard is on record not days ago contradicting what is claimed in this latest piece. Oh and the “independent security researchers” aka SecureWorks methodology has been widely called into question even in the more mainstream press.

If Maidsafe must re-tweet tabloid quality security news at least try cross check with a more respected security researcher sites (some of which I have linked previously) to avoid the more embarrassingly wrong and sensationalist/pro-war propaganda stuff that really does reflect badly on Maidsafe for very little media attention gain. I really disliked having to start this thread. I only point these issues out as I care about Maidsafe’s image among the security aware crowd as this should be a network that interests them, but I think I will call it a day on this topic now. Hopefully they are aware of what they are doing at this point, I chalk this up to not having enough qualified people available for press relations.
