I would say, that it is far less than a clone. It has just few similar toughts with SafeNetwork and some good looking like webpage Mainnet transfer to Arweave by few clicks, or working as Chrome extension, but about privacy there is big gap between.

I like how microsoft lies. The technology was being reported years ago, so their claim of 3 years of development so far is BS. More like 4 decades, it was started before optical drive technology.

But good to see it so far advanced now.

My question is why is microsoft putting this video out. Sounds like some sort of financing push to me. Or maybe trying to pacify the shareholders because of microsoft’s losing relevancy

Is that blue transparant cubicle represented by the left lower square in the ‘new’ Microsoft logo (or the other way around)?
Edit: it seems so, I see 3 videos for the other colored cubicles/squares on Microsoft’s YouTube Channel.

Microsoft are doing what they’ve always done - take someone else’s ideas, monetise them (then later drive out the competition). I’m not surprised to see them jumping on this as they have a finger in pretty much every pie. I don’t see them losing relevancy, rather the opposite in fact. I think they are slowly taking over the world.

My point was what was the point of the video considering they still have a long way to go before that storage hits the market. I wasn’t thinking of the actual product, but the reason for the promotion video.
