Prostitution is illegal too … but it’s everywhere and deeply embedded in Chinese culture. The police not only look the other way, they take part. IMO these laws are all just a means to go after people if the police or government decides they don’t like them for reasons x,y,z.

I do not disagree with your view but my point of it being sensationalist media click bait z-list crypto journalism is made below.

What she said was nothing near what was “reported”.

Though Yellen’s written statement reiterates the need to curtail the use of the crypto for “malign and illegal activities,” she also said that she planned to encourage the use of digital assets for “legitimate activities.”
Yellen said:
“I think it important we consider the benefits of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, and the potential they have to improve the efficiency of the financial system.”
The future Treasury Secretary also said she wanted the United States to be a “leader in the digital asset and financial technology areas.” She added that she would help develop a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency “and other fintech innovations” by working with the Federal Reserve Board.

I hope you are right … I take the pessimistic angle in an attempt to motivate myself to consider worst case scenarios.

It’s a big stretch in any case that they would be able to lock out exchanges globally - especially with more and more decentralized solutions becoming available and more and more stable-coins.

I get a 404 error and a funny image … was that the joke? Or bad link?

Are they preparing the possible “blackout” to put the “blame” on Btc and cryptocurrencies ???

By “they” do mean the Iranian gov.? If so, I doubt it … I think the Iranian gov. support BTC mining there as they need capital in Iran that they can use for trade – because the US and allies have them under serious trade sanctions that lock them out of the international banking cartel system.

Oh, they DO discriminate - just against the disenfranchised masses - left or right are not relevant unless they need one group of them to sow chaos, frustration, and discontent.

A good point of clarification.

IMO, every time there is a huge move up, some long time hodlers take profits – they’ve gained their FU money and are buying land, houses and lambo’s … their move out creates the dip and this is an opportunity.

A link to that article should be the standard response whenever we get a “when will it be ready” post on here.
