What’s up today?

Read about this, kind of sour since they can’t seem to fix it without changing the hardware. Doesn’t mean the Keepkey is worthless of course. First people have to know you have one, then they have to get their hands on it and know how to extract the key. Of course I wouldn’t want to keep shitloads of cash on one after finding out about this, but if you hold a small amount it shouldn’t bother you too much.

It’s one of the challenges that bitcoin (and other crypto) face for mass adoption. We need a third party that wants to “guarantee/insure” users funds to allow for mass adoption. Of course the whole “not your keys, not your crypto” still goes, but for the average user that won’t be a big issue. You can compare it with the money you keep in the bank rather than in an old sock under your mattress.

Another reason that time remains of the essence. If he is actually sincere wouldn’t it be great to have the network involved in the creation of something like this.

That project is a SAFE copycat on a blockchain. They call for an “autonomous” dapps layer, “farmers”, and even have a foundation with “ambassadors” for a network “inspired by nature”. First video on YouTube is from a year ago. I give it zero out of 4 stars and two thumbs down for originality.

Once your data is secure on the safenet, you can chop and change OS systems at will. Running SAFEApps, office or otherwise, will run just as well on Ubuntu as it will on windows.

If ppl will use weak passwords and not use features available to protect them ( 2fa in this case) these things are bound to happen.

Is it just me or is placing cameras in bedrooms a little over the top.

Definitely. Though you may have the strongest password ever, putting a camera into a bedroom + with children is a very bad idea

How much money is destroyed by them. How does it balance out for the last year?

Its not “non-existent” money

Still significant that the more money is destroyed - recreated than is the BTC market cap.

I could be wrong, but I get the impression this is just new money, rather than replacing destroyed money.
