It’s not just the mentally ill.
Get out in the wind, rain and mud, city or country it’s good for you.
As my personal trainer (my dog) has been telling me for the last year, apparently science backs her up!
Came across this article today promoting a dollar-bitcoin milkshake theory … as you can tell by the title, it sounds completely insane and something the US and the FED would never do, but there are some decent arguments in there.
I’m leaning against, but undecided.
I cant see it happening, at current prices theres not enough btc to cover anywhere near the right amount, price would need to be much higher, and i think many would lose interest in btc if it happened, meaning theyd be left with a big bag of useles coin.
The price would go past the moon, past jupiter, past pluto and into the ort cloud.
The doubt I have about it is that it seems like a one-way street to government oblivion … unless they think they can ban it later down the track (20-30 years from now) … and maybe so, but seems like a huge gamble for the FED and the US gov. Alternatively, maybe not just the US behind such a move … going to a global currency of any sort is the likely first step of the globalists. They can always attempt to change it’s parameters later … e.g. working to take over all mining and forcing hard forks. Still a huge gamble.
Safe Network fixes much of the concern about centralizing of nodes (I hope!), so should be okay down the track if they do try such a maneuver.
… well probably all nonsense anyway … but kinda fun to consider and the author makes some good points regarding why the FED is raising rates now.
I didnt read it, i tried, but im ill and that was far to many sliders to stop cookies for my liking.
Can’t believe it’s been a year since the safe network pumpkin made its debut. Looks like it has become a new tradition. Happy Halloween all ![]()
You know how these new LED lightbulbs last a year or two and then they break - and you have to buy a new one? They don’t have to be made that way - they could put quality components in them for a few extra pennies and they’d last a decade or more.
This is called “built-in-obsolescence” … and for the same reason, the pharmaceutical companies will NEVER make a vaccine that lasts. They want you to keep coming back for more every year.
The company I worked for in the 1990’s researched cancer antigens that could be used to create vaccines against cancer. I sequenced hundreds of them and we patented the majority and then sold the patents to the highest bidder … the company was created just to do that - knowing that big pharma would pay any price to buy them up … and then make them disappear. They sell the chemo drugs that make them hugely wealthy - the last thing they wanted was any real cures for cancer.
Eventually, one of the big big pharma (it has multiple names in it’s name, you’ve probably heard of it), bought up the whole company so they didn’t have to compete and pay through the nose to get the patents. They kept it going for a while longer to insure they found every last one and patented them - then they shut it down.
Don’t mean to be a downer - there is a lot of tech out there that would be a boon for humanity, but there has to be a level paying field (no mass subsidies for corporations) before things can get better.
Looking forward to the police bodycam and home security footage of this one. Seems a little fishy to me ![]()
“What if it’s not humans who will decide what ‘currency’ money is?”
![]()
A conspiracist around every corner. Gotta love it.
Not sure what you mean. If dogs won’t eat it, it’s not dog food. If people won’t accept ‘it’ as currency, then it’s not a currency. I’m probably misunderstanding your question, or maybe you were being rhetorical.
Bugger yer pumpkin, here is the original non-culturally-appropriated neep lantern.
This will make soup too!!!
PS and I didnt steal the plasms cutter out of work to make it either
PPS No Elastoplasts were needed but it was gey close…
That’s slander. I’d have used a reciprocating saw on yours though ![]()
I tried my air-powered nibbler but it was a dismal (if somewhat juicy) failure…
Just saw this on Reddit
In a world where humans are more closely connected to AI, we might follow it’s judgement of what money is.
Maybe unexpected like dogfood being a
eat
byte.
