I don’t think so actually. Remember that in XOR space that A might be closest to B, but B is not usually closest to A

So the shortest way back in XOR space from Z to A, will be different to the way from A to Z

In that case, the route taken back to the requesting node will always be the same length if not shorter. And shorter is what would ease the strain on the network bandwidth.

no guarantees, it could be more hops and/or more latency. So just average as the same # of hops
