I think this will change when we have proper test networks and people building apps.
I’ve been hankering after that for a long time and have had to hold back on getting some really good people involved because until we have that it is just a waste of their time.
It’s a shame as I’m no longer very active online so if we get there I may not be able to do much of that.

Oh I know, I think discourse is great all opinions are good. But we know each other.

I would encourage @rreive to update the OP if possible- looks like a good framework.
This is an area where perhaps the wider community non-coding folks could pitch in and produce some material?

Fearlessly throw open the doors of this forum to everyone you know. This forum is perfect for two reasons:
- Everyone has the goal of saving the world through decentralized internet.
- Everyone here is allowed to speak freely. Negativity is not a problem. Skepticism is encouraged. Even FUD does not scare me. FUD usually just makes me laugh. The few people who run away from this forum because of the negativity will be back when the network is built. Until then, there will be some negativity. Embrace it.

…oops, I did a bit of googling and found out, that qp2p is actually made by Maidsafe. Sorry for the remark that sounds so rude now, I didn’t know or had forgotten the facts. 
I just thought qp2p is a readymade block from somewhere, with lot’s of other applications. That does not seem to be the case.
Could you expand on this a bit? Do you mean negative as pessimistic about the progress? Or some more or less off-topic debates? Or general mood, or something?

I kind of regret saying that now.
I will reiterate that I am all for different views and healthy debate.
First impressions are important in my view and I am just not sure that new people visiting here right now will get a great first impression.
I may be wrong, but that is my feeling.
Honestly though the person I was talking to about safe is very much embroiled in his own community controversy so it is everywhere.
And in my opinion more so when people’s wallets are in the red.
Further to that the poject is what really matters not the mood.

We used to talk about much cooler things in the early days. Now it’s nothing but politics and world domination by evil groups. As if there isn’t enough of that crap everywhere we are.
