I think so, aye. The user facing APIs for all these changes should not really change much (at least in so far as I imagine). So I would not let potential network layer changes put you off.

Have there been any good results on increasing crash faults to raise fault tolerance? I vaguely remember this not being long ago but also a bit of a Safe Labs experiment.

The Stateright sounds like a perfect idea to test the network thoroughly.

This current stable set experiment is driven by a lot of that thinking. Where we are looking to be is tolerant to 100% of elders dying concurrently and still working. Those are tests we are creating now.
