Trezor: support for OMNI and MAID

There seems to be a problem right now, because even for me the balance check doesn’t load …

If you buy directly from the manufacturer I don’t think it’s a problem. They come sealed with holographic bands. They also have no pre-installed firmware ie. completely empty with no generated addresses in them …

OK, glad to see it’s not only me then. I did send an email to their support and they opened a ticket. Hopefully will be fixed somewhen.
Thanks for confirmation, it was a relief. Let’s wait.

you can use https://omniexplorer.info/ to check your balance

OK, I can see my maid there (and the little bit of BTC needed for the transfer). Another big relief.
As said, let’s wait for omniwallet to fix their end…

Or take control yourself and run Omni Core

Any documentation about it? I did download the tool (apparently from omnilayer.org) and I can execute the binary in my OS. There’s no mention to MAID at all and I don’t find how to import a private key…

OK, they fixed it. Already sent my MAID to my trezor, let’s wait for transaction to go through…
Thanks everyone!

Edit: After a bit of fighting to get in the trezor address at least 8000 satoshis, I can see the maids in my trezor account. Great job, and thanks again!

It’s a generic Omni protocol tool, so not surprising that there’s no mention of MAID. I think there was at least a command for importing private keys via the debug console. Not sure if that can be done via GUI menus etc

Omnitrezor not working. Tested with a non-legacy account.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the latest firmware update.
It’s showing some sort of CORS issue.
I’ve created a new issue in Github

Last week I did over 10 transactions and sometimes omnitrezor works, sometimes it doesn’t… Try it in 5 minutes until it’s fine …

Edit: now it works again

Good morning
Does anyone know what happens to omnitrezor? I am unable to access my funds, nor do I even recognize the Trezor account.
Help.

good morning

I just checked Trezor and omnitrezor and no problem.

have you solved the problem with omnitrezor?

Has anyone else had trouble with omnitrezor?

I have a considerable amount of maidsafecoin in omnitrezor and I would not want to lose them

So far, except for some temporary error it has always worked well for me omnitrezor

Do you think it is necessary to withdraw the omnitrezor coins?

I just let mine stay put. It may get a bit difficult to move them, but I don’t think it will ever be impossible.

THANK YOU, I’m more relaxed.

I certainly hope so. I finally got around to moving everything except gambling money out of Bittrex just the other day.

A real wallet is just there for convenience really. It’s the math that makes the coins safe. The private keys, or in Trezor’s case, the recovery seed is what matters. A calculator can help you figure out that 3^3 is 27, but the fact that it is so remains, even if you drop your calculator in the ocean.
