Things That Would Not Have Happened On Safe

I am astonished by the daily amount of catastrophic news about data breaches, security attacks, failures… etc , which are almost always due to the current architecture of the web.

So I thought I’d start this thread as a wiki with a categorized list of events that we wouldn’t have seen if we had the Safe Network instead, and links to articles explaining how Safe would fix each issue.

I want to put 3 rules for this thread :

  • only post links to news of such events in the wiki ( edit this post )
  • refrain posting political / ideological “troll bait” events…
  • use replies to discuss , not the wiki.

Lets start :

Perfect points for marketing the safe network.

#3

Great idea @nice :+1:

#4

Man, this needs to go on Reddit

#5

 sure !

Please do link ! I don’t have any such thing as Reddit, tw or fb , so I leave it for you guys

#6

this is truly awesome

#7

Superb @nice. Just what we need!

#8

Great list, thanks @nice!

#9

So am I, and now that you created this list, I’m astonished how important SAFE is for the world. Great job! And perfect marketing points.

I have a feeling SAFEnetwork would represent a very good solution for individuals and companies alike when the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes live in 2018.

I imagine a future where I control a set of personal data on the SAFEnetwork. I will have full control of this and who can access it. I imagine that many companies would prefer to ask access to my data when needed instead of setting up complicated systems to “hold” my data themselves (and exposing themselves to risk of data breaches/fines).

This way the company access the information needed when needed. My personal data is input into a business process in the company but only the output is saved by the company.

This way will be a cheap and risk minimizing system for companies seeking to be GDPR compliant.

Anyway… this is just a thought/feeling I have…

Safe Network For Institutions

My neighbors company just hacked for the third time today. This time they took all the files, plus the backup. Another drop of statistic in the ocean.

#12

This is great idea!

Identity of a thing is created by differentiating it from other things. I think it is good idea to focus on how SAFE differs from the internet as it is today - instead of focusing how it differs from Bitcoin, Ethereum…

#13

Now that is what I call a good marketing strategy.

#14

great list, it’d go on and on, sad to say though, the world must wait to avoid these things in the future.

#15

Very well thought. :+1::+1::+1:

Also, with Safecoin like other cryptos it will not be possible to freeze anyone’s assets, like:

Etc…

@riddim I am challenged by technology. Are you able to post the article at the top of this thread on Reddit? It may get some people thinking.

#18

Please post this on Reddit and maybe type it up on Medium or something.

#19

let me first try something else - but excellent idea to put this up on a place where more people can see and discuss it
