The Soviet Union peacefully dissolved, will the European Union?

The USSR I think dissolved because it wasn’t living up to its ideals. It was stuck. The EU is only an economic union. Money is a strong organizing principle but it isn’t enough. Dissolution happens when the gap between our values and what we are living grows too great.

I don’t know the future, but you seem already convinced that the EU will dissolve, peacefully or not.
One could also say there is a gap in values in the United States now between the coastal states and the rest (Calexit…).
Maybe Trump will cause a stronger EU and USA->DSA.
But indeed I also think that only one currency/economics is not enough for a proper working of the EU, e.g. the financial crisis in Greece. I’m not saying that is the case right now, but of course a lot to improve.

Yes Calexit. Not sure it has to be violent.

If it comes to that, let’s hope it will be peacefully. And Mark Zuckerberg could try to become its first president
I’ve heard he has political ambitions and Facebook will be replaced by a Maidsafe app anyway.
