The story is more about the soap opera than anything tangible or real.
I do like ripple/stellar as a technology – It really ought to be the gateway to bitcoin… But trading IOU’s isn’t the point of the crytpo-revolution, so no matter who wins, they will still be bystanders.
FWIW, I traded all of my Giveaway Stellar for Ripple… I don’t think there is any point in having two of the same thing.

A funny thing, I just google that Kim girl. she has exactly the same name as the North Korea spy (one of Leonard’s ex-girlfriend. ) in that “Big Bang Theory” show.
