The new version of launcher enforces CSP headers which doesn’t allow java scripts and css to execute from the html directly. This is done to prevent XSS attacks.
If you can make the javascripts and css as separate files and link it to the html then the things should work fine.
@davidpbrown, I can see the same for your sites too. If you can open the developer console in the browser, these errors should be visible.

This has nothing to do with the core network, CSP is confined to the web. This enforcement is to prevent mixing of safenet sites and the normal web. These restrictions are applied from the web proxy just to cater for web related content.
I think even through VPN my connection is better than most since I’m lucky enough to get 250/250 Mbit/s from my provider ![]()
Of course this is maximum speed, and VPN does not offer the same speeds but I can still download / upload with several megabytes per second.
Should the CSP header restrictions be documented somewhere a bit more prominently? It seems that blocking script/style tags from sites automatically is not something that one would expect the SAFE launcher’s web proxy to do, at least according to the confusion on this thread about why no-one’s CSS seems to be working.
Yes sure, it was part of the RFC. But the API document in the Readme.io is not updated yet. It still has information about the older api version. We will get this updated and keep everyone informed in the forum.
I just tried to register the public id of “fire-retardant-petrol” It told me the ID was already taken and the error was insufficient funds.
Public ID ErrorPublic ID is already taken.ReasonCoreError::MutationFailure::MutationError::LowBalanceOK
Till when will this testnet Run will i be able to test it this weekend ?
Is something similar available for Linux?
Easy way is
- Go to folder containing the running vault
- Type
tail -f -n100 Node.log
That will give the debug logs in rel time(sih, it is async).
Oi, censored already? Mine is still there too, complete with all the twinkling lights, the dawn of a new era - or the coast of Scotland:
Thanks! When will -v be added to this platform? And why is it not yet if it exists on windows already?
You are on Linux, yes?
I open a terminal , cd to the appropriate directory
then do ./safe_vault
and let the process run in the terminal – seems plenty verbose without the need for -v (or even -vvv) switches.
Of course this will change in later releases but for now it may be adequate for your needs.

@dirvine How long is going to take this test? I don’t think that I’ll can test all this at least until monday…
You have to do more than use the default template to get on the list of sites worth visiting ;p
http://dir.yvette.safenet lists those that appear as “Simple sites with default template” below the real sites. You are in good company though…
