TechCrunch: Here Comes The Trust Web

Another oblique mention. Safe to say most knowledgeable crypto folk know that MaidSafe delivering is an important project.

The idea of the “trust web” makes it worth the read. Very good term I suspect.

Its funny they think DAO means instant IPO and where free riders and parasites sit back and collect bank for ever for little or no work. DAOs mean systems that no one profits from that bar systems that a parasites could profit from. DAOs will operate at cost at the very least. Authors also like to speak of “unbundling” as if this will help firms like Fox and Sony escape content commoditization- they don’t outright say that but that is what they are trying to imply by suggesting that small players might receive the same unbundling escape from commoditization. That’s a total pipe dream. They also think try to suggest it will create stronger DRM, but that seems to be pure illogic. Someone pays once and dumps to a secure anonymous aggregator, just like today with emule, only such systems will be more secure and more accessible. They need to get used to a global model and market where end users pay when and if they feel like it and are never, ever asked to absorb any risk, especially not the type that lures them in, waste their time and charges them for it.
