Welcome to the forum .
It’s the underlying structure that routes chunks of data from A to B. BitTorrent has it’s own routing based on a tracker. SAFE is more like Freenet where chunks route without external guidance.[quote=“folatt, post:1, topic:13888”]
A distributed standalone version of a Self-hosting web application.
Was used to connect to the network, feel free to forget it, won’t be used in upcoming released.[quote=“folatt, post:1, topic:13888”]
A browser client application that can visit sites hosted on the Safe Launcher.
Yes, a standalone browser that doesn’t connect you to the “normal” web. It only connects you to the SAFE Network.[quote=“folatt, post:1, topic:13888”]
Also known as Safe Core?
Needed by Safe Launcher but not Safe Browser?
It would make more sense if safe client if it was part of the Safe Browser.
this is not that interesting for common use. The idea is: start the SAFE Browser and you’ll be online. Start an app on your phone and get online, these libraries work under the hood.[quote=“folatt, post:1, topic:13888”]
This one seems straightforward. It’s where you keep your safecoins.
That’s how I understand it so far. It’s probably completely wrong.
I hope someone can set this straight.
this is more like the “miner” for the SAFE Network. You’ll run it to support the network by routing data. You make money when you do work for the network. You could choose to only run a client (like the browser) or to run a Vault as well.
