No you canāt! not until safecoin are release
I understand. It would really be awesome if we could register and retain a public ID now. That would give us (me at least) a lot more incentive to start developing for a safenet site now.
Consider using an interim pseudonym if name squatting is a concern.
As an example project decorum is a not what it will be called in the end due to the same reason.

Itās all guesswork of course and thereās then at least 126 PublicIDs for which I couldnāt find a website. Perhaps people just want to reserve a name so they can lose it at next wipe.

Iāve already forgotten my account secret and/or password (I had to amend my existing ones to be more complicatedā¦). Is there functionality to retrieve these? I would like to retain my safenet address pleaseā¦

ok, i remembered it now - but iād still be interested in knowing whether there is the functionality to change these words in the future.

Hi Milan, if you canāt remember them your account will be lost. They are not stored anywhere so if you want to make sure you donāt forget them you could write them down somewhere, preferable offline of course so that no-one can access them through your PC (or wherever you would digitally store them).
Luckily for you this is only the first Alpha release so there will be a new chance for you to retain the safenet address. If this would happen on the (final) release version of Safenet though it will mean the loss of your account. At least the way things are right now.

Not in the current app, you can do this though, we should see that and more during Alpha releases.

Need some helpā¦
Ubuntu - safe launcher and demo were installed. when i start the launcher, under the āaccountā tab i donāt see that the demo app is authorized.
under the āsettingā tab, proxy server is enabled.
What am I missing?

Did you first start the launcher and logged in and next started the demo app? When youāre logged in and start the demo app it should prompt you with the request if you allow the demo app to connect.

I was having problems connecting and downloaded both the launcher and demo several times.
When I finally got connected, I clicked to install the demo first, by mistake. When the launcher started it didnāt show the demo running until I uninstalled them and re-installed in the correct order.
Could that possibly be your problem too?
