Hey, Louis / @JohnVonNeumann there’s a very useful little job for a Ruby Dev, to update SAFE-VFS to work in the new API. @anon71598723 hasn’t time to update it, but it would be fantastic to have this ready for alpha2 if you want to take a look at these two posts:

Join me in pleading with @anon71598723 to update his SAFE-VFS for the new API. It was awesome, or if Daniel hasn’t time to do it maybe somebody else can take it on. Any plans Daniel?

As much as I am excited for playing with the new API, unfortunately, I can’t do it right now. I’m too busy with work. To make safe-vfs work again, it’s necessary to completely re-write the “ruby-safenet” lib using FFI bindings (“safe_client_libs”). As you may know, I wrote it in Ruby and the only Ruby lib available is outdated. Right now the only updated libraries are NodeJS and Rust. So, to make it work again, it will be necessary to: a) update the Ruby lib; or b) to write a new…

I’m afraid I have form here, trying to interest somebody in picking up SAFE-VFS but here’s why, this blew my mind:

I just uploaded a new version. The last one I think. It enables the ability to create websites. How to create a website: # website files mkdir public/my-dir echo “Hello world!” > public/my-dir/index.html # publishing mkdir dns/my-app ln -s public/my-dir dns/my-app/www Then, open safe://www.my-app, you will see your “Hello world!”. PS: Please let me know if you find a bug on it (here or on GitHub).
