I have been thinking about universal basic income lately. I am not a fan as it seems like a waste of resource to me. Has anyone heard of any projects which are trying to create new money from doing physical things.
So rather than new money being created from a central bank we could have a system where new money is created by doing something useful. Like cleaning a stream or having dinner with a lonely elderly person. The activities could be endless and voted for by the community.
I read a similar system in a book below.
Has anyone heard of anyone trying this?
