Sorry, but nodelauncher will definitely not be a contender. Remember, we are naming the node itself, not a launcher for it.

Well, I think snoden … it will bring attention. Hopefully the right type of attention.
It does scream safe and secure.
We might get his attention, and on a stable release network he might recommend us in the same way he recommends other safe and secure projects, like grapheneos for example.
It has crept the top the vote but don’t think alluding to Ed Snowden is a good idea because the network is for everyone and for many he’s a divisive figure. We should steer clear of politics when it comes to the network and nodes IMO.
My favourite is safenode because it is clear and descriptive. It won’t be typed frequently so I don’t mind it being longer and less obtuse than many commands. Even though my suggestions have been more *nix’y I think UX should be king when looking at command names and parameters, and safenode tops that for me.
I think it’s clever but 100% agree with mark. And snode just sounds weird, may be longer but why not be verbose. safenode
Would you consider a node a nest of ants? So maybe call it a nest? Short and to the point.
No, cos a node is an ant.
Lots of nodes make a network, lots of ants make a nest/colony.
At least thats how I internally visualise it.
And the beat goes on…
Thank you for your hard work, people :-))
Appreciate, appreciate…
I just built the latest
git pull && cargo build --release --features statemap,otlp,build-bin,data-network
firred up a baby-fleming and got this…
willie@gagarin:~/projects/maidsafe/safe_network$ safe files put ~/cock01.jpg
error: Found argument 'files' which wasn't expected, or isn't valid in this context

What have I missed?
Thanks @JPL I was assuming ( yes an ass of u AND me)
had been done.
BUT… I didn’t just grab the binaries and untar to the respective locations, I built this locally.
I still have a heavy cold and not thinking 100% - Is it just me being dumb?
same question for me, is this right? why am I not seeing the contents?

is that with the latest?
I just pulled and built again but I still get the same error on safe files put
and I did remember to copy the new binary across ![]()
willie@gagarin:~/projects/maidsafe/safe_network$ ls -al $(which safe)
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root willie 32354800 Feb 27 23:40 /usr/local/bin/safe
Nah I am running old tech
, days old ![]()
but @Southside if you look carefully at this log you may spot something new!

looks like old and new are both broken… ![]()
I have not seen your “no contents” problem though.
I’d check if I could put … ![]()
