I saw that this weekend…nuts! I was able to grab some more MAID while it was down a bit though!!! 
The trollbox was freaking out on ETH…made me literally LOL…

I wouldn’t say conspiracy theory , Bitfinex has literally just added ethereum to its exchange , When poloniex had huge volumes of ethereum, kraken got ddosed as well , most likely isnt the owners of said exchanges ddosing those sites but perhaps users wishing for large amounts of people to move to another exchange and increase volume and liquidity in their chosen exchange platform , It happens too consistently and at regular intervals to be just “random” happenings
