Options, 5 exchanges can list ERC20 MAID immediately!

I think we would have to ask exchanges to not trade or delist Omni MAID and not provide any liquidity. I’m thinking there is some way to reinforce this I’m just not certain yet. Either we as a community or Maidsafe should provide the liquidity of the new erc20 token and reach out to DEX’s first and then other more popular exchanges.

Hell to the no on Tron.

See https://uniswap.io/ anyone can add ERC20 and provide liquidity… It’s just great!

I think if we as a community of hodlers (who collectively probably have large holdings) negotiated with some exchanges and came to a contractual agreement to provide liquidity by lending erc20 MAID to traders like what I believe Polo USED to allow (I believe I remember @jabba telling me something like this) then we could get this coin properly traded once again. If we can get this coin traded and some actual proper price discovery besides just mirroring bitcoins movements then the loaned MAID could also go further for the team. This may be far fetched but our options are starting to slim so just throwing this out there if anyone wants to comment and help get the ball rolling.

It’s time to collaborate and act much like the Tezos community had when there was so much scrutiny, turmoil, and little support. Hell I know a lot of Tezos supporters that support this project as well and they are diligent folk that I or if you know any, we should be reaching out to.

I don’t think this issue should be taken lightly because this project is too important and let’s face it, it’s not getting the attention, contribution, or price discovery that it deserves. The team is in delivery mode and we need to punch it up too so they can focus and finish.

at least with Tron we are basically on polo cause they endorse that DEX and have a UI… also they say top performers will be added to the regular exchange. That would be lolz if our DEX token got listed after regular MAID was delisted :stuck_out_tongue:

You would want to list maid as a Tron token only if you have a heavy bag of Tron :joy:. Better not associate maid with this cone artist or scam coin.

Justin sun seems just like Vitilak (although maybe a lot cooler with the ladies) … they both made a programable coin but of course premined some for themselves. I say just see what serves us better and don’t worry what other people are getting.

Justin sun is all about hype and marketing. No wonder Tron’s weibo account got banned in China last month. https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/11/15/tron-weibo-account-gets-banned-is-china-cracking-down-on-crypto/

Stay away from Tron. Waaaay too much unnecessary drama.

Never met a single person—IRL—that has ever even heard of Tron. For obvious reasons, we can’t just say fork it and go that route, so my money is on ERC20.

lol ok well guess we agree to disagree. I think Tron is the better option but whatever gets us on a DEX is huge positive either way… I mean I am even from Canada and still not a huge Vitalik fan :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you have a heavy bag of tron :joy:

Only speaking for myself. I’ve actually experienced this before and am in 100% agreement with regard to DEX. We now have a chicken and egg problem though and I am happy to be proven wrong.

This is a great start @Dimitar. I’ll start looking at exchanges with hopefully reasonable listing requirements. Any ideas on exchanges to contact would be helpful below. Kucoin perhaps? I’ll start looking around this weekend.

Is there anyone that wants to look into setting up a test ERC20 token using Token Wizard Introduction · poanetwork/token-wizard Wiki · GitHub

Now I’m not sure how it would work technically but I’m assuming we would need a webpage set up with Platform Integration of Omni Core · OmniLayer/omnicore Wiki · GitHub support to receive the Omni asset MAID and then (I’m assuming) a proof of burn is required (by sending the funds to a publicly known address that is completely inaccessible to anyone), then 1:1 mint the new ERC20 MAID to be exchanged to the user.

@mav @neo @oetyng @tfa @Traktion anyone willing to help here or that I probably missed it’d be great to see what we could do for Maidsafe and MAID to help get this coin the liquidity and exposure it deserves so it can grow and help fund development of what we should all be willing to fight for.

I just want to remind you that we already have a migration tool developed by project Decorum…

@Dimitar That’s awesome! Forgot all about that, thanks. Can you pop the link to that above as well?

Mind adding these to free exchanges?

And then

No mention of listing fee or providing liquidity but I’d be a little surprised for them to not ask. Just an application, some general info, a 10 min Skype call with the CEO, not much back and fourth and there you go. KuCoin is a decent exchange AFAIK. Used it in the past with no issues at all. A lot of well known and not so well known coins on there so I’m thinking probably pretty simple for a veteran coin such as MAID.

I also think these are some good pursuits when possible and will look into listing requirements soon.

Props to @Seneca and @bzee this conversion tool that was used for PDC is awesome and super simple.

Im against any erc20 transition. Focus should be on Fleming and any distraction should be avoided. We never had more than 2 or 3 exchanges. Now we are down to 2 again. So what? I know some ppl had issues with HitBTC. But for me it’s been fine, no problems.
