oh the linux version is for x64 I guess? someone correct me?
scott@scott-desktop:~$ getconf LONG_BIT
64
This is it isnt it?
you said pi, I guess its arm? even if its 64bit?
That’s it up to 2526 right now and I think this is the first 24 hour flight without an un scheduled landing ![]()
Can we get a space usage update from the nodes at the coal face?
Do that and fire up a proper PC with a Linux Live CD
then we might get places…
Shame they had to pull that release earlier this afternoon, I expect there would have been an ARM binary included.
I am far far too lazy to look BTW
Virtual box is also free and a good shout for learning on as you can take snapshots of the vertual system state.
I learned a lot by borking things and being able to restore a snap shot of the vertusl system before I borked it ![]()

I’ll get back on the sidelines for now. Thanks for your help all ![]()
Don’t give up go have a look at https://www.virtualbox.org
Download it and go download Ubuntu and set your self up a virtual machine to play with.
@scottefc86 Are you sure you got the macOS binary?
If it definitely is the right one, you may just need to set it as executable with chmod +x ./safe.
To copy it to /usr/local/bin you need to use sudo for that.
Edit: sorry, I thought you were using macOS. Are you using Linux?
I’m using Ubuntu 22.04 on a pi 8gb
Ah ok, yeah, you’d need an ARM binary for that. Sorry, at the moment that’s not available. It will be soon though.
is it dead?

what I noticed tried to send(sync) some files with safe and rsync is that safe is really fast at processing of what I have already downloaded where rsync takes a lot of time to figure out what is already there!!! kudos to the team!
Looks like it’s dead. Log of a failed PUT (timeout after 90s) here

save the logs, fill the tank, kick the tyres and light the fires.
Lets keep going and see what breaks it next time.
OR will we def get the new release tomorrow? Should we wait for that?
Seems pretty unresponsive now. Tyres are flat, fire’s out.
Log of a failed GET.
Can it get restarted easily?
See if we can replicate the failure?
