NHS Digital has said that individual care providers can choose to use public cloud services to store patient data.
But the digital rights organisation Open Rights Group says allowing offshore data hosting is “dangerous”.
Hopefully in the future they’ll have a simple choice that all sides can acknowledge provides for privacy and security.
…and goes without saying that beyond the NHS this kind of relaxation can only help with adoption of good solutions to cloud storage.
