Next step of safecoin algorithm design

Got an interesting question in the “price and trading” topic about if the current supply of Safecoins on the network will be known.

Will it be possible to know the current supply or aproximat current supply of Safecoins on the network?
From earlier discussions there seems to be a way.

Will users be able to verify the supply of safecoins?

Basically, we’re dealing with a Bernoulli distribution, and we want to estimate p from a given number of samples (which is easy), but we also want to know how sure we can be in our estimate (not so easy.) Using Jeffrey’s interval we can draw up a Beta distribution for the probabilities for our probability. But will it be possible with Safecoin as integers instead of as data items, will that affect the possibility to know the current supply?

There is a strong notion and push to not have safecoin as data items, but as integers in the client managers. Then the disability is very simple.
