Just remember that the biggest thing that Microsoft will be looking at is how to turn any investment they make into money/returns.
SAFE is opensource, for all, spread across the world in infrastructure. Where is the “handle” for Microsoft to make money from it.
Also for them to make money from it they need to adhere to the commercial license, since they would be commercialising it.
And in the end Microsoft would want to take ownership of the project, pulling the strings in the background.
They might make some money/coin from farming, but they would not need to be involved in the project development in any way for that though.
