Well realistically, given that Fleming is much more than previous releases (basically feature complete network) it will go higher than all time high spike driven by previous alpha releases. Which was 0.00029111 BTC , it is 2.725 USD in current BTC price.
But when people realize the potential and what they can do with Fleming it can raise much higher.

If Fleming release happens this year and fundamentally seen as positive by the market, funding for 5 years shouldnāt be an issue

I think itās possible we see more than we expect IF Fleming gets done in the next 3 months so it can pair with the BTC halving story.

I think what you guys are speculating on is a level of adoption, rather then a specific release. Fleming could just be our community here gets hyped and we see a slight increase. On the other hand people could find it very useful and the word spreads for an orders of magnitude style increase. We need Fleming to open up that door, but it doesnāt automatically mean we will go though it. I think it will take at least some months of Fleming being out before we really start to notice new buyers in the market.

At the same timeā¦ this is the first time in awhile Iāve been incessantly eyeballing the price at the most zoomed in level to try to analyze exactly what Ā±$0.001 differences and highs have occurred that I missed/wasnāt made aware of. Seems to be on a very very very slight uptrend. People getting used to their new exchanges? Wanting to christen their new exchange experience/home of choice by going for a small bull run rather than for a whimper? Hm.

When Fleming is out, itāll prove the tech works. Correct me if Iām wrong, itās not the actual network itself. Unless thereās an actual application on a permanent network, any price movement before that will be speculative.

dont forget that many did follow this project long time ago, and just stopped believe or were inpatient enough to forget and move on, so when fleming is out they should come back i believe.

This is 100% true. I spoke last week with a Bulgarian programmer in Google who listened to Davidās lecture there. Initially, he followed the project, decided it was very slow, and stopped following itā¦

Iāll echo that - Iāve heard a few folk say " Oh yeah Maidsafe, what happened to that, it seemed interesting?"
So I think there is perhaps slightly more awareness of the project than we imagine on here, but not great awareness of the current state of the project.
I must admit to having given somewhat optimistic estimates of the the anticipated launch over a period of yearsā¦

Even now if we could just reach out to people that were buying MAID like crazy years ago and show them that now its so close to an actual usable product they should be interested. Trouble is how do you find all those people and send a msg?

I know at least one person who participated in the ICO and left this project (meaning he sold his MAID at the start of 2018). From time to time, Iāll reach out and try to re-shill MAID a little, but he sounds lukewarm at best and completely disinterested at worstā¦ like someone who has given up.
My theory is there is a certain number of people who fancy the idea, patiently wait for a couple of years and then decide it canāt be done (not by this team anyway) and move on, never to look back.
