MaidSafeCoin (MAID) - Price & Trading topic (Part 1)

Any number of arbitrary examples during/post the GFC would have done the job for what I was getting at, I just happened to pick that one.

TL;DR it was in response to the 0.08/3 year thing, it was meant to say hey just check back in a few years and not worry too much about all the silly little numbers in the meantime, life’s too short

Reposting this here so that it is not missed.
I believe it means that the USA is back in the MAID buying game?

Good news.

The lucky ones can buy back in for a cheaper price than they sold.

Is this effective immediately?

Seems that way.

Starting now, all new customers can sign up and begin trading using only an email address and password. Any customers who sign up from here on out can begin trading in seconds with a Level 1 account.

Need to be careful of the withdrawal limits, though. Would hate to have MAID spike up in price and then have it trapped on the exchange. More of a general concern as I haven’t looked at the specifics. Used to be $2K for unverified accounts I think.

10K per day.

With Level 1, you’ll have access to unlimited trading, unlimited deposits, and $10,000 per day in withdrawals

Just got the email too. How are they going to dump that 20 million onto the market now and pay for the funding of the project for the next 3 years?

So where else can maid be traded or bought? I don’t know how the exchanges work but it sounded like they often ask for large amounts of money or something in order to be listed!? If so maybe it’s an operational expense that whilst not a good thing probably may be necessary.
Definitely please list on some kind of decent exchange where the ROR is minimal rather than cheap upstart.

Really believe in the ethics of this company/ Foundation even if I have reservations about the final product (not that it won’t be made but the actual ramifications but there are far smarter minds here then me and I don’t think that line of inquiry would be tolerated)
Seems a nasty brutish world the cryptosphere and maid maybe needs to take part somehow sadly!?

Well this is a bit of a clusterf**k.
I guess we have no option now but to find another exchange.
I guess bittrex international will do, volume there should pick up.

Really don’t understand why they would not require kyc and stop maid trading

Yuck… that is disappointing.

Reflects badly on Poloniex’s judgement.
I suggest take opportunity to register feedback to them over the support.

Such action undermined their position as a first choice exchange. Supporting only projects that are illusion of product, does nothing for their prospects in the long term.

Just checking it’s genuine.

My email was addressed “Hi there” - possibly a phishing email?

I assume this relates to their other announcement posted earlier. Not great news and price has tanked on polo accordingly.

The quit MAID becuase the quit OMNI. Maid should have moved to ERC20 a long time ago…

List MAID in any exchange is harder because they don’t suppport Omni.

Maybe MAID will change their mind now. There still years before the network is live.

ya this blows. I might still follow the project but I am out financially if we can’t daytrade MAID. I am not sure how the project will be funded now though. Dev team borrowed all that MAID and now there is no way to sell it.

There’s no profit in daytrading… markets and switches are too much liability… and profit fleecing noobs to the market is a poor way to make a profit.

Cool heads rule… and this project needs to be bigger than one exchange being short sighted…
