Maidsafe University

There are a lot of people who want to help but don’t know Rust, or Crust, or whatever. Wouldn’t it be smart to put up an online tutorial that provides the info needed to be a useful Maid contributor? It could be called Maidsafe U. The top graduates get to work for Maidsafe.

I think they are really busy, rightfully so

Okay so it wouldn’t be the main core devs doing it. But surely there are people who know code that aren’t working on the core project.

I’d like to see a “How-to” for us non-coding types.
I’ve got machines - from desktops to servers - that could all be put to use. I just don’t know how to use terminal, or how to ssh into my webserver…this kind of step-by-step tutorial/procedure

Why not check out some guides man?

If you do that I’ll help though and specific questions. Just no point in reinventing the wheel

These are just my own personal thoughts tho

This should be of help for the command line anyway, well at least if you’re on linux.

Tho I myself am still a bit fuzzy about sshing into things and would also like to know how to use Rust and Crust, as well as other coding languages, to help development and write apps.

These are all great. Why not have all of the best links and videos in one place? That way maid safe supporters are getting the best information in a centralized location.

Are you volunteering to create a site?

I’m not very technical. How do I know which links are good? You need to find somebody smarter and with a better work ethic.

Check out for now - https://safenetwork.wiki/en/Main_Page because there are some major updates to maidsafe.net going on right now. You can see images of the changes at https://maidsafe.atlassian.net/browse/MAID-1376

I’ll poke around when I have some quiet time and see if it makes any sense

Thanks!

What’s this? Is this a bot account like on reddit or something?

Anyways, I see what you mean now. Having all the info in one place together for the community is a really good idea.

Speaking of ssh, are we using ssh for access to the maidsafe?

ok lol this is probably the roughest and least in-depth site I’ve ever made, but I promised a product by tonight.

I got to a certain, extremely shallow point, and realized I need some help with info’s to put :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s what I got, out of my own head, but maybe @happybeing or @dyamanaka or anyone else could fill me in with links or data to put into this… Or anyone reading this!

Help!

my instructional site so far: tiny.cc/maidsafeU

@Secretariat415 made it for you
