What happened to SAFE Press?
Stay tuned
Reminds me of one of my favourites, “How many software guys does it take to change a light bulb?” Answer: “Can’t be done, it’s a hardware problem.”
That’s funny , I had to laugh! Cheers
I have published a new safe website:
safe://complements.valmarkpro
can anybody tell me where I can see it in the List of Safe Websites.
Thanks
I added it to the list
SAFE Doggies added (those cats aren’t going to be happy about this) safe://doggies.vmp
bump-de-bump… up you go wee fella…
I’m confused. WebID’s are tied to safeID’s and safeID’s are obtained through this forum and you have to register your IP. So there’s no anonymity. With no anonymity, you might as well be posting on the clearnet.
Please explain how my current understanding is wrong.
Correct
No you create your own SafeID. The forum membership requirement is just a temporary measure to stop people spamming the network while it’s in development and before defences are in place (it happened). If you’re worried about giving out your IP in the meantime you can use a VPN. Once the network’s live you won’t need to be a forum member.
Just playing around really, but I have this site up:
safe://list-service-names.eggmunkee
Lazy Dog is also back! safe://lazydog
There is also a new article/pic!
First time round, anyone got me beat?
No. I am shit at this. As I am at all video games. Even on SAFE.
When SAFE is launched and the world put right I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time to sit back and focus on what really matters - high scores in video games.
Thanks SarahPentland for this post.
I have created a portal as my first site on the Safe Network using the information you provided.
safe://dada.zr3d
Hopefully it will be useful to others. In future I would like to make this dynamic so users can add their own sites and filter sites using keyword search.
That’s cool @zac. You may be psychic as I was thinking yesterday this would be a good idea.
We had one on the earlier test networks, but it wasn’t updated for alpha2.
I’m going to a JS coder meetup later in the week so this will be useful to help demo SAFE.
I aimed to start doing this ages ago then got distracted trying to make it dynamic, as you describe. It’s not too far from finished now though, and should be up on alpha 2 and github in the next month or so if you want to pool resources for further development.
