are those coins lost forever, or when/if safenet is a success, someone will push this update to OMNI?
Don’t worry, you most likely won’t need to move the OMNI tokens to get Safe coins, there are ways to prove ownership without a transaction.

yes, in the worst case, you can’t trade them right now, but as long as you hold the private key for the Bitcoin wallet with the OMNI tokens, there’s nothing to worry about - they’re safe.

i got them MAID in trezor, not sure i have the private keys, trezor got it i think, i didnt write it down
With Trezor, the seed words generate the private keys, so keeping them is enough.

Just making sure you realise that @Dimitar was referring to when MAID will be converted to the network token. This means that at time of conversion you should only need to sign a form with your private key as proof of ownership.
still hope there will be a solution outside the safenet, if have to sell i cannot which sucks
