Haha, sure… But @StephenC was explicitly suggesting the ‘break it’ phase would commence later! So I’d rather not be an obstacle here.

After running: safe files get safe-the-planet.png it seems to get stuck. Also putting files takes quite a long time.

Currently we don’t have this, but we have discussed this here on the forums IIRC, e.g. having a container linked from the Safe (the one you create with authd using a pasphrase and password), which can then perhaps be reached with safe:/// or safe:~/, so you could do $ safe cat safe:~/ to list your “Safe home folder” files.

How are people getting coins to spend/transfer? I create a new key
safe keys create
But the created key only has 0.000000001 tokens when I check the balance.

Can someone help a rookie :-)? Im felling a bit stupid as all of you seem to be advanced programmers.
Its first time im using terminal, so this is a bit over my level of computer knowledge. Im on MacOS.
When im putting the commands from the installation guide into terminal it says “command not found”. Am i missing something here?
If someone could give me a step by step approach to install the testnet that would be great.

I don’t suppose anyone would be able to stream what they’re playing about with for those unable/incapable of joining the testnet?

Try running that with the terminal open as administrator? (if not already)
EDIT: in case you’ve not ran a program as administrator before, I believe you just right click the launch icon on your desktop start bar/menu and select “run as administrator”

I don’t know MacOS well but recall it’s a bit Linux like in places.
This is just a composite of two commands to download and run.
So, download first and worry to run it separately.
Try
curl -o install.sh https://sn-api.s3.amazonaws.com/install.sh
and see that download
make it executable
perhaps with
chmod +x ./install.sh
or some other manual permission switch
and run it
./install.sh
By the way, if someone want to hang his PC, just try to safe files put large file.
I was trying to upload 2 GB file and when RAM consumption hit 6.5 GB (out of my 8 GB total), I cancelled the process.
