EU Ruleing: Embedding copyrighted videos is not copyright infringement

Wow… maybe the EU is not a slave to corporatism, yet:

The Court of Justice of the European Union handed down a landmark verdict this week. The Court ruled that embedding copyrighted videos is not copyright infringement, even if the source video was uploaded without permission.

A pro Google ruling but a good one.

Now they need another law that vacates all copyright claims especially by corporate entities over 5 years old. That will help with this nonsense where Amazon think its can collude with movie firms to get $15 for 15 year old move. Price should never be more than 80 cents or so for any movie and there should be permanent total content collections ad free for some small amount like $40 a month ad free. Better yet is an optional micro payment system to achieve the same. No matter what media firms and their totally corrupting influence should not be saved for total commoditization that will get rid of them and their rid of their role of filtering middle men.
