Does anyone here like chess/checkers?

I want to develop apps.
In particular I want to create a chess variation app.
But I’m so afraid that once I finish it, there’s no one that wants to play it, so it’s all for nothing.

So I’m asking here that once I finish it, I will know for sure that I have someone to play with.

I like chess, not played since I was a youngster, but be happy to play.
