Congressional committee: Encryption Technology & Potential U.S. Policy

Encryption Technology & Potential U.S. Policy (29/4/2015) starting midway @21m6s … or if you also want the law’s perspective the beginning… or just the best quote of all.

A congressional committee hearing on law enforcement’s perceived need to have access to our encrypted communications and mobile device contents. Discussion focused upon the nature of what the FBI desires and what the reality of today’s technology reasonably permits. Experts from both sides of the issue gave testimony and answered questions.

Law enforcement struggling to come to terms with reality… and apparently hobbled by their mandates.

Again I think this shows a misunderstanding about what does make progress and what perpetuates problems. War on encryption anyone?

Good luck with that, pigs.
You can’t outlaw math. It just doesn’t work.
