Can someone explain why MAIDSAFE is being run out of a private residence?

So I was thinking of investing into MAID coin and was doing my research.

According to Providing Privacy, Security and Freedom | MaidSafe the maidsafe project is being run from

72 Templehill
Troon
Ayrshire
Scotland
KA10 6BE

Googling that address on google streetview shows a private residence with the second floor available for lease.

And you can see that it’s a residential address and not a commercial space here: House Prices in KA10 6BE

So is this whole project still being run out of someone’s apartment? This project was started in 2006, can someone explain to me why 11 years later they are still working from someone’s apartment and not an actual office?

That is not number 72, we are further up the hill in an 2500square foot office with 1 acre grounds that dude (my dog) has for his playground. Google Maps

Although looks like somebody has tagged a point on Google maps as 72 and pointed it to an old flat. Ah the crazy world of crypto and scammers

And if you translate Troon from Dutch to English you get Throne.
I find that a proper place name for a headquarter.

Ta-da! Here it is. Handily situated opposite a funeral parlour in case anyone croaks through over work. Very efficient.

Who cares about running a business in private residence or commercial residence. It’s meaningless. It’s just a building.

Actually those of us who have been privileged to visit the MaidSafe complex are impressed by the light airy working conditions and the stunning array of dinosaurs on the pool table.
Most impressive, however is the easy access to the local Greggs.

I was hoping for a highly-secure, underground bunker with biometric entry credentials like something out of a James Bond movie. But as long as you guys can build a fantastic product, I won’t worry about the details.

Handy for code review, do you want to finish that here → or there

I’ve dropped by a couple of times. It’s only 30 mins down the road from me.

I was sceptical of the entire project until you mentioned Greggs. Dealbreaker.

Dang, you’re digging deep sausage, what’s your agenda?

If it’s Ayr, the sausage is square…
Immortalised by Rabbie Burns in his seminal work “Tae a tattie scone”, who can forget the poignant line
“See at skwerr slice, it’s awfa nice” ?

Good old Lorne sausage, my mum used to buy a frozen stack of them to keep in the freezer. I’ve got a craving for them now!
