I’ve started this topic to collect together snippets I come across on Bluesky, the for profit social network that was billed as decentralised when the team was set up by Jack Dorsey before he left Twitter.
I keep seeing reports about it that have given me a negative view wrt how it is designed, operated and built, but I haven’t made notes so can’t easily say what all the points that lead me to that view are.
Hence I thought I’d start collecting them together here. I’ve no direct experience of the platform, so all my knowledge is second hand but the quality of reports i see on my Mastodon feed has been excellent on a wide range of technical, privacy, security etc topics.
