This is a bit too techie for me. What I want to know is can I use my normal everyday computer while online which is many hours a day to earn a few safecoins without having to build something a bit special to do it. I will if I have to but initially I need to start up the curve and learn a bit before committing money and time. Thanks.
Yes, thatās the objective. Testnet3 and beta will show us if they succeed or not but thatās the plan.
Thatās great thanks for the enlightenment heaven knows I need it my headache needs to subside a little (in a good way of course)
Should have added I am in Malta, I have got fairly good bandwidth (100Mbits) plus three computers online, two I use and one my wife uses all on a home network and sharing the bandwidth. I will most likely put my two computers on as farmers if thatās the correct term. I presume from what I have understood that I will still be able to do other things as I am farming. I am building a fourth computer as a spare, but will most likely put that on the network if all is good, but I guess I will need more bandwidth but my comprehension of the system maybe at fault (a high chance of that) I am a normal everyday user who has enough knowledge to be dangerous so thanks for any answer I may get from this post.
Just posted this for others really as t donāt really understand this stuff, so donāt know if useful or not. There seems to be an issue with āHBDCā (copyright protecting thingy).
Hi, Iām very new to this and this is very new to me! Can I use a 1TB external hard drive to contribute as a farmer. Many thanks ![]()
Of course you can ![]()
Can I use my old Apple II? ![]()
Probably not ![]()
Thatās OK I will just melt it down for its gold and purchase some Safecoin ![]()
The first computer I built used the z80, and the first one I designed used it too. Much slicker than the 6502 used by Apple!
Operating System Cyanogen 11S based on Android 4.4
CPU Qualcomm© Snapdragon⢠801 processor with 2.5GHz Quad-core CPUs
GPU Adreno 330, 578MHz
RAM 3 GB LP-DDR3, 1866MHz
Storage 16/64 GB eMMC 5.0, available capacity varies
@dallyshalla I think you should port vault & client code to this and market it as a mobile Safecoin farm ![]()
I think it would be interesting to use as a virtual reality access point; so when you donāt play you can run it and farm safecoins; and when you use it; you can at least use coins on video games which run over the safe network;
Is it going to be easy to allocate the resources?
The thing I hated as a techtard with mining was all of the coding.
Hereās me hoping the software is point and click for the dummies like myself.
Im thinking somethings along the lines of a mini pc or a rasberry pi to dedicate because I can literally plug and play. And from what I am reading you can even build a small or large scale farm with the rasberry piās.
Any thoughts on that.
Whats the difference between that and the RPI?
EDIT/UPDATE
I looked into it and found these
