BattleMeshV8 - August 2015 Slovenia

We would like to give to the ‘Battle of the Mesh’ the flavor of a
tournament with a social character. If you are a mesh networking
enthusiast, community networking activist, or have an interest in mesh
networks you might find this bunch of crazy folks gathering for the
Wireless Battle of the Mesh V8 very interesting. This event is also an
opportunity to meet developers from the most popular open source mesh
protocol implementations (Babel, B.A.T.M.A.N. L3 and L2, BMX6, IEEE 802.11s, OLSR)
and watch their ideas compete. If you have implemented an interesting
mesh protocol capable of running on OpenWrt Chaos Calmer (14.07) you can
take part in the tournament too.

@ioptio is already on it and arranging the visit, she went through Berlin recently to scope it all out and has her sights on this one. We hope to make some contacts and possibly try some integration before then all going well. It’s a nice thing we are making CRUST pluggable as it will help a lot.

And maybe @Peter_Jankuliak could pop by as well!

I’m making an adventure out of this. Going to CCC camp/Berlin after to connect with the Rust/hacker/activist communities there more. Maybe we can even do a MaidSafe Berlin meetup if @BenMS comes down for a bit. Just a suggestion.

We should try and leave some devs in the office @ioptio, we can’t have you stealing them all  .

oh, I was just thinking one at a time!
@Peter_Jankuliak makes sense to come to Battle Mesh if he’s interested because relative location and @BenMS makes sense to come by Berlin if we can organise a couple MS/Rust related events because he’s a fan of the city.

And @dirvine can just come hang out with me the whole time!

Ok, the last part wasn’t completely serious.
