New on me, FIDO is a standards based collaboration to create cross platform secure authentication support that eliminates passwords and enables two factor devices (such as fingerprint readers, yubikey etc) to work with multiple services, and for biometric authentication to be used without disclosing biometric information to service providers.
Could be important to include support within SAFE.
